Overview

The Senior Process Optimization Analyst is a key position at A Place For Mom. This person can make a huge impact to the core of our business: CareGivers & Center of Excellence. We are looking for someone with the right operations, analytical, and process improvement experience who is interested in working at a small company to see the impact of their work almost immediately!

 

This position is responsible for mapping out the average operations and finding opportunities to make the parts of the organization more efficient. This involves shadowing multiple employees, being six-sigma approach/detail-oriented/data-driven to find opportunities for improvement, and interact with the right departments to “make it happen”. This position reports to the COO and will be a key role in the larger org.

A Place for Mom (APFM) is the nation’s largest senior living referral service, helping over 1 million families find senior care and housing each year using technology and local sales advisors. In 2010, APFM was acquired by Warburg Pincus, a $40 billion private equity company. A new executive team joined in 2011 to lead the transformation of APFM from founder-run business to an online healthcare market leader. The company has since soared, and it is now experiencing 50%+ YoY growth and enjoying a dominant and defensible position in the internet technology sector for finding senior housing and care.

Responsibilities

  • With a lean and data-driven mentality, use analyses to come up with insights and then recommendations on how to improve the advisor’s day/on how to make their process more efficient
  • Have a UX-mindset to problem solve how technology improvements could make an advisor more efficient + work with the product manager to identify and solve any technology issues occurring to individuals within the sales organization; UX/Product experience is a plus
  • Help identify, prioritize and rank order the top advisor activities that are most impactful to APFM
  • Perform ongoing detailed time study analysis of how the average advisor spends their time and measure lift of various initiatives (in terms of advisor time savings) 
  • Help  lead or support any initiatives that directly or indirectly impact the sales organization
  • Develop strong relationships with all sales leaders, Director of Sales, Regional Managers, Regional Directors, and advisors, and help facilitate communication and partnership with the sales leadership across all the departments at APFM.

Qualifications

  • Six Sigma qualification preferred
  • Industrial engineering preferred
  • Minimum 2 recent years experience in doing time study analyses and recommendations on how to improve a process from start to finish
  • Data-driven mentality. Able to quantify how much a process improvement will help grow the business. Exceptional quantitative skills including the ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
  • Self-motivation and drive. Determination to break down barriers to success.

 

 

Education Requirements            

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Advanced degree preferred
