The Senior SEM manager is responsible for building and managing paid search marketing and other direct marketing campaigns for SeniorAdvisor.com and related websites.  This position reports to the Director of Marketing.


  • Drive strategy to grow existing SEM channels, as well as strategy for testing and growing new paid marketing channels
  • Manage, coach, and drive performance and career growth for a high performing SEM team.
  • Ownership of full performance for a high volume B2C website.
  • Balance individual keyword and campaign lifetime value with customer acquisition costs and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Create, implement, track, analyze, and optimize paid search marketing campaigns across multiple search engines.
  • Utilize successful creative testing, bidding strategies, and keyword management on PPC search engines.
  • Coordinate forecasts and budgeting with other members of the online marketing team.

Other duties as assigned.


  • Deep knowledge of SEM as well as a working knowledge of current and emerging trends and technologies.
  • 6+ years experience in online marketing
  • 2+ years experience managing a team
  • Proven track record of success with Paid Search programs
  • Strong analytical skills including understanding of basic statistics
  • Strong level of independence and efficiency.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Driven leader & innovator
  • Experience in display or social advertising a plus.


Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Advertising, or related field
