  • Overview

    The National Account Manager (NAM) in Canada is a remote based partner account management and new partner acquisition position. This position is directly responsible for acquiring and managing partner accounts in Canada. The NAM will be responsible for new partner acquisition, key account management as well as motivating and coaching the Partner Services Managers in Canada. The ability to exercise sound discretion and independent judgment in performing all responsibilities is a must. The NAM will report directly to the General Manager of Canada.


    • Manage key account relationships to maximize the relationship for both the partner and APFM.
      • This includes quarterly business reviews, strategic discussions, community engagement and partner satisfaction.
    • Manage and coach Partner Services Managers to achieve new partner acquisition targets.
    • Assist with new partner onboarding and education to maximize partnerships.
    • Work closely with the Regional Managers of Canada to ensure relationships are built at the local level either in person or over the phone.
    • Educating existing partners on our value, process and best practices. This will allow them to respond more quickly and effectively, thereby increasing the value APFM provides in the market.
    • Assisting the RMs with dispute resolutions and any partner related issues that may arise.
    • The NAM should work as a partner to the RMs to drive success in Canada.
    • Communicate with the regional sales teams regularly regarding partner related , incentives, challenges, and changes in with in the market to maximize revenue in Canada
    • Other duties required.

    Key performances indicators include but are not limited to:

    • Canada revenue achievement
    • Achievement of all new partner acquisition targets
    • Maintain an acceptable level of partner attrition
    • Completion of Quarterly Business reviews with all managed Key Accounts.


    This job will involve 75% travel time and home office time 25%; this may adjust with the needs of the business


    • 3-5+ years senior living sales/operations/ account management experience
    • Ability to deliver results while working in a highly independent and fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to understand and communicate business metrics, while applying the metrics to drive Canada’s results.
    • Ability to use tact and initiative and exercise sound discretion and make sound independent decisions, within general policy, procedural and legal guidelines.
    • Ability to independently organize own work, set priorities, and meet critical time deadlines.
    • Strong computer skills necessary, including Word, Power Point and Excel.
    • Ability to understand, explain and apply applicable laws, codes, regulations, and standards.
    • Organize and prioritize multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner.
    • Prepare clear and concise plans and other written materials.
    • Maintain accurate records and files of work performed.
    • Must have reliable transportation to visit partner communities from time to time.

    Education Requirements 

    Bachelor's degree is required
