  • Overview

    Our Manager, System and Consolidation will report directly to our Senior Manager, Shared Services. The Manager, System and Consolidation will oversee the preparation of APFM’s internal financial reporting requirements to ensure the integrity and accuracy of global US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financial reporting. Sets standards of reporting on actual results to meet the needs of internal and external financial reporting requirements. Identifies and implements system, financial reporting and general process enhancements which ensure the consistent application of best practices across all sites.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the go-to person for questions/issues regarding the GL and accounting operations
    • Support financial analysis, annual audits, federal and state tax returns and other tax filings (WA B&O; OH CAT; WA & TX Personal Property taxes, etc.)
    • Maintain current knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, business objectives/initiatives, and current accounting standards.
    • Own financial reporting tool including system administration, maintenance of key retrieve templates and system reporting structures, user security access, and liaising with IT and external consultants to troubleshoot/resolve system issues.
    • Lead ERP system upgrade or/and implementation project, including Logic script development, updates to existing scripts, cost center or department allocations, chart of accounts, hierarchy rollup, input templates, user acceptance testing, and reporting.
    • Work and partner with multiple APFM departments to support goals and objectives
    • Manages the monthly global financial reporting consolidation process to ascertain that monthly and annual financial statements are complete and accurate.
    • Responsible for oversight of all intercompany transactions, processes and reconciliation, including compliance with Intercompany Transfer Pricing agreements, as well as the completeness and accuracy of the Intercompany accounts.
    • Lead the preparation of month-end consolidated financial reporting for P&L, B/S, and CF using FX translation logic within the system. Maintain all foreign exchange rates in accounting system to support proper consolidation, valuation and billings.
    • Provide ongoing end-user support and conduct training sessions including development of applicable training documentation.
    • Prepares and/or reviews monthly account reconciliations and balance sheet analysis/review.
    • Assists the legal team in setting up new foreign entities.
    • Assists external US GAAP reporting requirements for bank covenant compliance in a timely and accurate manner. In future, it may require Form 10-K, Form 10-Q, Form 8-K, press releases, registration statements and proxy filings ensuring such statement are accurate and filed timely.
    • Reviews supporting work papers for adequacy of financial statement footnote disclosures. Ensures supporting files are maintained to support all of the disclosures made in internal and external financial reports.
    • Effectively communicates system status/updates/enhancements and proactively solicits feedback from key stakeholders
    • Maintains thorough and current understanding of GAAP and SEC rules and regulations. Keeps abreast of emerging accounting, reporting, and disclosure standards.
    • Oversees Company’s on-going global compliance with internal control over financial reporting.
    • Support VP Controller and CFO on special projects to implement new accounting pronouncements as necessary.

    Qualifications

    • At least 6-8 years of work experience
    • Demonstrated ability to proficiently access and manipulate data for creating financial analyses and other formal presentations
    • The ability to be “hands-on”, close the books and complete work in a timely fashion 
    • Results-oriented with high initiative and ability to think independently.
    • Ability to implement and adapt to new technology.
    • Will demonstrate strong financial systems skills as well as refined excel and power-point capabilities.
    • A strong accounting background which includes operational accounting experience
    • Successful track record in managing teams and partnering with cross-functional teams
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to team and collaborate with focus on customer service.
    • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
    • Strong attention to details, highly organized, and ability to multi-task.

     

     

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information System or other relevant field
    • CPA preferred
    • Prior ERP or consolidation system experience required
