    The Director, Marketing Sciences and Insights is a new marketing team leadership position at A Place for Mom.   We are looking for a talented and agile leader to enhance our understanding of the consumer as well as drive the effectiveness of multichannel marketing efforts. The position reports to the CMO.

     

    Data-driven decision-making is at the core of A Place for Mom’s high-performance consumer acquisition and emerging Customer Managed Relationship (CMR)  marketing capability. In this newly created role, you’ll be responsible for consolidating our marketing analytics staff and building a central marketing sciences function to measure and optimize the return on our marketing investments in traditional and digital channels. Key team functions include:  multichannel attribution, reporting, in-market test design,  A/B testing, CRO testing, funnel optimization and setting the engagement KPIs/foundation for our emerging CRM/email nurture activities.

     

    To succeed in this role, you’ll need a thorough understanding of advanced offline and online marketing analytics; a customer centric mindset; and a desire to support business decisions with a data first, consumer driven approach.

    Responsibilities

    • Set the marketing sciences agenda and promote the team’s work across the organization
    • Consolidate and build a team of talented marketing analytics and insights professionals
    • Contribute to and collaborate on our overall marketing vision, strategy, design and implementation
    • Devise and oversee analytic solutions that enable a more complete understanding of consumer consideration, engagement and conversion
    • Support channel/business owners and the executive team with data-driven consumer insights
    • Drive best-in-class A/B and matched market testing across CRO, email and multichannel media
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on advanced analytic methods and digital technology solutions

    Qualifications

    • Desire to be part of a purpose -led, high performance marketing organization
    • Experienced, results-oriented and insights-driven leader with at least 10 years of marketing communications analytics responsibilities in performance-driven organizations
    • Ability to translate data into insights. Track record of leveraging internal and external data sources in order to identify, size, refine and target potential growth opportunities
    • A proven track record of driving business outcomes for multichannel ecommerce/hybrid sales force driven organizations
    • Strong A/B testing experience and ability to lead all or part of our new growth ideas through critical stages online and offline (e. g., pilot, scale and ramp-up)
    • Relevant measurement experience across key on and off-line media/ properties including, but not limited to, SEO, SEM, off-line media/broadcast, paid social, online video, native media, blogs, etc.
    • The ideal candidate will have an advanced analytics background with experience in ecommerce, performance marketing and/or a sales-driven consumer marketing organization
    • Outstanding communications skills - including oral, written, and presentation development
    • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or related field
