    RealVoice is a division of A Place for Mom which creates value for skilled nursing facilities by delivering high quality, actionable insights built on patient feedback, and helping families discover high quality skilled nursing facilities through A Place for Mom’s digital platform. The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue by managing and motivating a national field-based team of Regional Business Development Managers, nurturing key relationships within the healthcare industry, developing the RealVoice brand in the skilled nursing sector, and working with product and operations team to innovate on our RealVoice solutions for healthcare providers. Success in this role requires a growth, creative and structured problem solving, and comfort with leading a growing team in a fast-paced data-driven environment. The position requires 25-50% travel and may be located in the corporate office in Seattle, or may work remotely from a major US city with a connected airport. The position reports to the Director of Emerging Business, within the Sales organization at A Place for Mom.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Manage performance of the Regional Business Development Managers (BDs) and lead them in securing new skilled nursing facilities as partners
    • Regular ride-alongs and field visits with BD team members
    • Accurately forecast on a monthly cadence to meet and exceed quotas
    • Track BD team metrics and report data to divisional and executive leadership on regular basis
    • Develop testimonials, case studies and collateral for use by Business Development team
    • Attend A Place for Mom sales organization summits and company meetings as scheduled
    • Develop sales contests and incentives to drive performance
    • Partner with A Place for Mom’s other divisional sales management leaders and teams to drive new opportunities and strengthen existing relationships
    • Develop systems in collaboration with Operations to support key account relationships
    • Participate in regular team initiatives to measure partner satisfaction and use the insights to improve the sales process and value proposition
    • Collaborate with product team on rollout of new products and features to the market
    • Monitor competitive landscape and changes in the skilled nursing industry as a whole

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years successful experience in a sales or business development role
    • 3+ years successfully managing a distributed outside sales or business development team, meeting or exceeding team quotas
    • Strong analytical capabilities, and ability to conduct independent forecasting and performance management analysis
    • Proven ability to build long-term relationships of professional credibility and trust with industry leaders or executive-level decision makers at customer organizations
    • Power user of CRMs to manage teams and sales funnels e.g. Salesforce
    • Ability to lead by example, and to create and sustain a positive and motivated team mindset

    Preferred skills and competencies

    • Familiarity with Value Based Selling or similar sales frameworks
    • Experience training or coaching others in sales frameworks
    • Experience in healthcare industry, preferably in skilled nursing care

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree required

    Compensation

    The position is a salaried, exempt position.
