  • Overview

    The Payroll/AP Analyst is responsible for successfully in assisting the timely and accurate processing of payroll for our APFM employee team and for helping the Accounts Payable Manager in processing payments to APFM vendors. This position will also work closely with the Human Resource team on employee related matters.


    Payroll related:

    • Assist in the preparation as needed for the U.S. multi-state bi-weekly payroll and serve as a backup to the Payroll Manager
    • Ability to process the Canadian bi-weekly payroll timely and accurately
    • Answer and assist employees via phone and email
    • Analyze, troubleshoot and research any payroll related discrepancies
    • Oversee the bus pass program
    • Perform payroll research as directed by the Payroll Manager
    • Other duties as assigned


    Accounts Payable related:

    • Properly record invoices and process payments timely
    • Execute our travel and expense reimbursement system and process
    • Answer questions regarding invoices, cash disbursement, T&E and Corporate Credit Card operations
    • Support financial analysis, annual audits, and special projects
    • Maintain current knowledge of policies and procedures and enforce adherence to such policies
    • Special projects as requested


    • 1 to 3 years payroll experience for 50 plus employees
    • ADP Workforce experience required
    • Ability to maintain high confidentiality
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Customer (employee) focused and passion to work with and support others
    • Working knowledge in MS Excel
    • Prior accounts payable experience a plus


    Education Requirements

    • Minimum 2 year AA degree preferred
    • American Payroll Association FPC certification required or willing to attain after hire
