    Software Developer – Aging Care

    Job Description

     

    The Software Developer builds software by analyzing business problems, produces software specifications, implements and test plans, writes code, supports and modifies existing software, and implements and executes unit and system testing. This position reports to the Director, Technology.

    Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities

    • Executes full lifecycle software development
    • Write well designed, testable, efficient code
    • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system
    • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
    • Document and maintain software functionality
    • Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics
    • Comply with project plans and team standards
    • Perform additional tasks as assigned

    Qualifications

    Required Skills and Competencies

    • 2+ years of experience doing hands-on software development
    • Experience on Microsoft platform technologies and implementing medium to large scale projects and web services
    • Experience in debugging software performance issues and using .NET platform tools
    • Experience in Web based technologies such as CSS, JSON, XML, SOAP, REST, web services and tools
    • Experience working on SQL and data modeling
    • Strong coding skills in one or more of C#/Java/C++ languages
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong Object Oriented Design and familiarity with application and database programming under Windows/UNIX/Linux environments

     

    Education Requirements    

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
